The Pentium II Xeon was the successor to the Pentium Pro and was designed for use in 2 and 4 (and even up to 8 in 1MiB and 2MiB form) slot servers and workstations.
Essentially a Deschutes based Pentium II at its core the Drake differed in that its L2 cache, while still off-package and fitted to the PCB, ran at full clock speed. The cost of these full speed cache modules ensured prices were considerably above those of the Pentium II.
